Chisholm Trail

Journey to Cove (IV22)

This clip of a car journey from Poolewe to Cove starts some 100mtrs after cousin Maggie's cottage who lives opposite the Post Office.
The journey takes in the twists and turns, ups and downs of the narrow road to Cove. Passing the old school [11min 5sec] and then on the right [15mins 15sec] of the picture lived another distant relative, sadly she has now passed on. At night time she would flash her light to signal her sister in Mellon Charles, far side of Loch Ewe! Moving on we approach Willie's old house on the left [18min 20sec] and then further on to "Camisbain" [20min 4sec] the croft on the right where my Great Grandfather and Grandfather who were both named Duncan Chisholm once lived and now lived in by former postman Hamish McDonald, another distant relative.
